Maison Martin Margiela Replica Never-Ending Summer Reviews
Fragrantica - "Never-ending Summer has arrived just in time for the warmer months-and I couldn't be more pleased. As a long-time lover of citrus-based scents, I'm always on the lookout for a composition that adds something unique to the classic brightness. Never-ending Summer delivers just that. While the official pyramid highlights bitter orange, there's a charming effervescence in the opening that, with a bit of imagination, really evokes a chilled Aperol Spritz-the kind I dream of sipping for those fleeting 30 seconds of pure parental relaxation by the sea, while our two children temporarily (very briefly) entertain themselves. The bitterness of the citrus isn't sharp or overly zesty. Instead, it's softened by subtle warmth and a breezy, sun-kissed character that feels effortlessly elegant.. There's no overwhelming sweetness, no synthetic sunscreen vibe-just a refined, sparkling citrus heart with a whisper of herbal freshness and soft woods in the background. What pleasantly surprised me is both the longevity and projection, which are outstanding for a summer citrus scent. It stays noticeable for hours, and maintains a lively presence that feels clean, uplifting, and dynamic throughout its development."
Fragrantica - The opening smells exactly like a freshly cut Orange peel. I LOVE this. This is THE orange-drink Perfume I searched for. Not too sweet, realistic smelling orange..just perfect
Fragrantica - I'm not usually huge on citrus (except bergamot, which I love) but this is soooo gorgeous. Spicy, woody, bitter orange, with a nice subtle sweetness...I think Never-ending Summer reminds me of the late part of Summer, where it's still pretty warm but it's cooling off a little and you can tell Autumn is coming, especially at night when it's a little cold. To me it's not giving the vibe of a sweltering hot day on the beach, moreso a warm Summer afternoon/evening in August, going out for drinks. When you're *wishing* Summer was never-ending.
Fragrantica - I'm getting a juicy citrus, that is more fruity than sharp. It has more of a sweetness than a tangy bite. The woods are present, and the scent reads light and easygoing, but it's not austere or serious in the way that Terre D'Hermes might be with its vetiver. In the drydown, there is sticky resin present. The overall effect is pleasant.
Fragrantica - I think I found my scent of the summer with this one. :)
I don't think it's overly bitter - definitely more orange peel / zest on the opening, but still retains some sort of juiciness from the orange. I think you can even stretch this from late spring to early fall because of the woodiness. I do get a bit of a patchouli but it's nicely done and not overly strong.
Fragrantica - "To me, it smells like an Aperol spritz, and seems like something I can wear at the cottage (thanks to the woodiness), or of course, on a nice European vacation by the coast. Good for everyday wear, and brings a smile to my face!"
Fragrantica - "Just really nice. Smells like summer in a bottle."
