Kittens and their claws. Roses and their thorns. Spiky dewberry bushes, heavy with lush fruit. We seem to love all things sweet but only if they might bite. Sting. Hurt. Excite.
NEL will fool you. You may feel impervious to her charm, "I know her game", you think, but before you know it, you're obsessed. She is multi-dimensional, existing in many universes, as if created of multiple worlds where apples taste like rhubarb and flowers smell like wild animals. Sensual, playful, fierce, NEL is a go-getter, a troublemaker, an irresistible heartbreaker. And yes, NEL is real - so real that we decided to create a scent that embodies her, because one galaxy is not enough to contain her energy. Mark Buxton approached the challenge with a bang, ready to capture the vibration with a cheeky mix of notes - sultry ambergris permeates the whole scent giving it a carnal, sensual lining. The fruit is crisp, tart, mouth- watering, juicy, addictive. Then: a whirlwind of flowers transparent like pale pink silk. NEL lasts for hours, bold and fearless, a statement. A rose that grew from thunder.
REVIEWS
Fragrantica - Fresh, fruity, and rosy. IMO it's a perfect perfume for all seasons because of the warmth of the amber. It also has such a great performance, the longevity and silage are awesome.
Fragrantica - Compared samples of Nel and Delina. Definitely the same scent family. Nel starts off a more tart, with a lot more rhubarb. Now 3 hrs later, Nel's tartness is almost gone. Smells comparable to Delina, but a bit warmer/ambery Delina is slightly more fresh. Both wonderful, I don't know which one I prefer
Fragrantica - Pretty scent that really packs a punch! Kinda like Delina yes, but more dry and earthy. The "perverse and predatory" notes mentioned in the scent description aren't animalic, they're just earthy and impure in a pretty way. On skin there's a surprisingly natural scent that reminds me of a garden. The literal scent inside of a greenhouse where flowers are grown. I don't think there's anything challenging here scent-wise.
Performance is absolutely brutal. One tiny sample spray was almost overwhelming on my arm, constantly wafting out rose that I wasn't going nose-blind to. This is like MFK Oud Satin Mood Extrait -level of rose performance. Only without the oud. There is a dry-woody Norlimbanol superamber base here, but it's been hidden well behind other notes, just like in Kirke or Erba Pura.
