Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge Ultime

L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge Ultime by Givenchy is an Amber Floral fragrance for women launched in 2023. L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge Ultime was created by Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo and Fanny Bal.  This is a flanker to the 2021 version of L'Interdit Rouge, which itself was a flanker to the original 2018 L'Interdit.  L'Interdit Rouge Ultime encompasses a warm, woody floral essence, enriched with recycled cocoa shells and dark smoky notes, complementing the floral bouquet of the original composition. The fragrance features notes of neroli, orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine, amboxan, patchouli, and vetiver.

Top notes are Jasmine Sambac, Tunisian Orange Blossom and Tunisian Neroli; middle notes are Indian Tuberose and Cacao Pod; base notes are Indonesian Patchouli Leaf, Ambroxan, Haitian Vetiver and Tobacco.

Fragrantica - "Beautiful bubblegum like white florals with a healthy dose of spice. Maybe some cinnamon? the cacao is very subtle. Yes it is very similar to Rouge but it has a little extra spiciness that I can't really explain. I do want a full bottle of this gem."

Fragrantica - "My initial thoughts when smelling this was "spicy bubblegum", but then the dry down was a soft, warm amber scent. Definitely an evening, autumn/winter fragrance!  I didn't get any notes of tobacco, but I'm somewhat okay with that as it feels more sensual without."

Fragrantica - "This is much lighter, fresher and sweeter version of Rouge but still has the DNA. Oh it's like a dessert. So feminine and youthful at the same time. Its still a strong and heavy fall/winter fragrance but I can wear this in day time too." 

Fragrantica - "Rouge Ultime is softer and creamier. While I find Rouge EDP being more nighttime fragrance, this one feels like it can be worn during the daytime too, but only in colder weather. It has a really good projection, I sprayed it on a little ribbon and put it into my purse, and I could smell it for the whole day coming from my purse. I am going to buy a full bottle, especially since it's a limited edition."

Fragrantica - "L'interdit rouge ultime.  The very first notes are hot spicy florals then it settles to get richer and woody.  The notes are very well blended and i can smell jasmin getting through the spiciness.  As it develops, it gets even spicier yet very elegant and warm.  Its sweeter than l'interdit rouge and i find it sexier, more unique and would be perect for autumn."

Fragrantica - "I have all of the L'Interdit variations and this is FBW. It's lush, fizzy, sweet and grounded. It's a love for me."

Fragrantica - "This is very nice, I love the OG which I find slightly more bitter and creamier (the sesame note?) than this. The new Ultime is more floral and lighter but still much better than all the other generic crap out there. I think the ambroxan is lifting it up nicely too. This is a perfect summer edition so I'm not sure why they are bringing it now, towards the autumn/winter..."
