Vanilla Rice by Ellis Brooklyn is a Oriental Vanilla fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Vanilla Rice was launched in 2026. The nose behind this fragrance is Nicole Mancini. Top notes are Toasted Rice, Freesia and Mandarin; middle notes are Cherry Blossom, Coconut Milk, Jasmine and Nectar; base notes are Vanilla, Musk, Skin and Tonka Bean.
Vanilla Rice is a milky gourmand-floral fragrance built around toasted rice, vanilla, and coconut milk. Mandarin and freesia open the composition, followed by sakura blossom and jasmine nectar, while skin musks and tonka bean give the drydown a soft, sweet finish. The scent references rice as a universal staple and reflects the idea of understated or "soft" power, as described by founder Bee Shapiro.
Reviews of Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Rice
Fragrantica - "This is not Salt and Vanilla Milk combined at all. I'm not picking up either previous scent in this. This seems like it stands on its own. I'm not getting milky at all. Maybe cool whip, so it's a bit creamy and airy. This is closer to what I hoped Dear Sky would smell like."
Fragrantica - "It's a woody aquatic vanilla in the same vein as Levante by 1942 Nobiles, Antiqua Bay by Morph, or Vanilla Monsoon by Salum. I'm not getting much floral at all on paper or my skin, it's a salty woody vanilla scent, def not a mix between salt and vanilla milk, it's not nearly as lactonic. An easy reach and good if you'd like to try a sweet creamy vanilla without going all in on the gourmand trend."
Fragrantica - "As soon as I sniffed it, I couldn't shake how much it reminds me of the Valentino Donna Born in Roma "the Gold" flanker from last year but with some added citrus. It is very light and fleeting but does give you a tropical, just came from the pool vibe without smelling directly like sunscreen. The vanilla is not super sweet. Overall, this is a nice unisex summer freshie."
Fragrantica - "Vanilla Salt is a perfectly nice marine vanilla...a pleasant salty skin musk and gauzy vanilla scent, with just the slightest bit of lightness from some solar florals. An hour in, I'm finally getting more of the woodiness, it actually resembles Vanilla Woods by 7 Virtues."
Fragrantica - "Something in the base of this reminds me of Yum Pistachio Gelato, I think it's the whipped cream note. Just take away the pistachio and add Ylang and something aquatic. It has the same clean yet gourmand smell that Yum pistachio has."
Fragrantica - "I've been wearing this perfume for about a week now. I really enjoy the airy and sea water saltiness I get from this. It almost feels like I can smell the fizz from the ocean like you would a champagne essence. The whipped cream and vanilla combo are apparent as the scent never gets too salty. It's rounded out nicely with the creamy warm notes. The jasmine and ylang brighten up the scent without being too distinguishable. I'm super sensitive to florals and this gets a green light from me. This scent makes me feel fresh, clean and put together without being too sweet or smelling like it should be reserved for dressy events. So far this is a day time, warm weather scent for me. Perfect for the Florida heat. To experiment, for a little more vanilla, l layered with Vanilla Milk and it was perfect. But this scent stands in its own. FYI this smells very different from Vanilla Milk and Salt....This is my first salty fragrance and I love it. I prioritize clean scents free of hazardous chemicals and bra."
Fragrantica - "A nice basic sweet vanillic aquatic fragrance. Nothing special, maybe a little sweeter than other similar vanillic aquatics available. Out of all the ones it's compared to above I would say it's somewhere in between Coconut Sun and Mancera Holidays."
