Fragrantica - Very nice release from Creed, its similar to the original Aventus but on steroids. Strong, spicy, and long-lasting 8 hours on skin and days on clothes. It's good release for winter or summer nights, its very strong so people around you can be disturbed if you over-spray.
Fragrantica - This is a huge improvement over Aventus in my opinion. The opening is really juicy and i can still pick up the pineapple note even tho it's not listed, it's pretty much present the whole time but this time it's combined with grapefruit and ginger giving this juicy almost mouthwatering feel, it's done very well. Now for the dry down that's where the spices become more dominant giving this slightly Sauvage Elixir feel but they are totally different and not similar at all. This is basically Aventus on steroids in my experience, this stuff lasts around 13 hours on my skin. Amazing release and i'm glad to own a bottle.
Fragrantica - I bought this immediately after testing it in store - it's like the Dark side of Aventus, a lot of the same to love, with a deeper darker picture, full of depth. I find with these types of fragrances there is so much to love, they just come across so refined and thought through
Fragrantica - I tested this tonight at Bloomingdales, and after having the full experience my worst fears were confirmed, this is hands down my favorite version of Aventus. Damn this is fucking good. Fruitier, darker, more full bodied, and with a beautiful resinous vibe that comes through in the drydown which is indeed very similar to Dior Sauvage Elixir. Performance seems very solid, it's still going strong almost 7 hours later....Absolu is simply an awesome flanker of the original. Much like the Cologne version was tailor made for hot weather, this feels tailor made for the cold weather of autumn and winter.
Fragrantica - Essentially, what you have here is the musky, patchouli Aventus base, which is the part of Aventus I like best, overlaid with an oriental spiciness, rather than the juicy pineapple although the pineapple is still listed by Creed even if not shown here. You still get a bright opening but combined with more spice and a denser fruit note from the blackcurrant. It definitely smells a bit richer and darker up top. Many liken this to a mix between OG Aventus and Sauvage Elixir, which I can understand as it does have elements of both but don't be misled by the elixir comparisons, they aren't the same. I'd also add elements of Cedrat Bois to the mix as well. It becomes smoother in the dry down and this, to me anyway, is where it most resembles the OG. Overall, I still mainly get the Aventus dna, just richer and denser.
Fragrantica - this is phenomenal. I feel like it's somehow a fresher, livelier, version of Aventus. I enjoy that the ginger is there. I love it. I don't feel like this is redundant to have this and the OG. On skin it's slightly different than clothes as you might expect. There's a subtle sweetness mixed with a subtle almost TDH background..
