Reviews of Creed Wild Vetiver
Fragrantica - I, for one, very controversially, LOVE both Silver Mountain Water and Perseus. As such, I think this is great for people with my taste. It has fantastic performance as well. I tested Aventus on one hand and this on the other, and this swallowed Aventus whole (sadly for Aventus, c'mon man, look what they've done to my boy). Lasted 8 hours and probably would have continued projecting and everything had I not showered and killed it off. Good stuff, very super duper unisex, but probably going to be better enjoyed by men who like sharper, cleaner, drier woods, while being okay with some classy rose thrown in there.
Fragrantica - I love it. Bright beautiful opening. Fresh. Then the rose comes out with some fruit sweetness. Even though it's black current it smells kinda green melon to me. As it dries down the rose becomes more subtle and you get a nice lightly floral green with light woods. The notes check out on this one. I preordered a bottle. Looking forward to wearing this spring.
Perfectly unisex in my opinion. I think some will say it leans feminine simply because of the rose. I disagree. This isn't a powdery grandma rose at all. It actually reminds me a tad of the rose in les sables roses (but no where near as loud in this case)
Fragrantica - Love at first sniff. Super bright opening with that lovely Vetiver and cedar combo in the dry down. My wife loves it on me and I love it on her too.
Fragrantica - This is a brilliant fragrance and the most excited I've been about a new release for a while. Was given a complimentary sample kit ay my loval John Lewis today after a chat with the rep. Its like a mix of PDM Perseus and if they made a flanker of Delina for men, as the rose is much more masculine. Very high quality smell to me and it lasts a good amount of time with strong projection. Definitely my next buy upon release, 10/10.
Fragrantica - As others have said, this opens in the same vein as PDM Perseus. It's bright and sparkling and this continues for quite a while. The rose soon makes an appearance, which is the point at which it separates from PDM Perseus. It is subtle and nicely done. The rose is the same one that is used in Creed's, 'Oud Zarian'. It's a more masculine rose than most. As it drys down, I get the slightest hint of vetiver which blends well with the underlying fruit and rose. I'm would say this is leaning more towards a fresh scent and the longevity is outstanding, again, much like PDM Perseus.
Is it a Masterpiece? Only time will tell, but for me, it has all the hallmarks of becoming one. I'm looking forward to wearing this on warm summer days. It's a 10/10 for me at the time of writing.
