Calandre by Paco Rabanne is a Green Floral Aldehyde fragrance for women. Calandre was launched in 1969. The nose behind this fragrance is Michel Hy. Top notes are Aldehydes, Galbanum, Green Notes and Bergamot; middle notes are Rose, Lily-of-the-Valley, Orris Root, Geranium, Jasmine and Hyacinth; base notes are Oakmoss, Vetiver, Musk, Sandalwood and Amber. This the Eau de Toilette concentration.
Calandre was launched in 1969. This feminine fragrance is very difficult to sort into a certain group of fragrances. Citrusy uplift of bergamot in the top notes follows the floral heart with white rose, pelargonium and hyacinth. The base is woody, powdery, with intensive musky notes.
The Hundred Classics Pick (Luca Turin & Tania Sanchez) and one of the fragrances from the last 100 years that Roja Dove believes to be the true classics of their decade.

Basenotes - "Galbanum, rose and hyacinth are the tree nites that dominated the opening phase on me. A delightful hyacinth, a good rose blossom with a green and leafy side developing with time, and a galbanum that is deep and multi-layered and brightened up by some bergamot.
"The dry down adds a nice muguet, a traditional jasmine, as well as s deeper orris that adds additional depth. The florals are well-balanced and never really sweet."
"The base is an earthy affair, with a vetiver continuing to adds more depth, with a good soft oakmoss together with an ambery set of white musks continuing the earth and deeper base notes. There is a wood note in the background, a pale and weak sandalwood."
