Nishane Ani was inspired by the ancient city with ruined churches and the slow grinding of time. Created in 2019 by Cecile Zarokian, it has notes of Bergamot, green notes, blue ginger, pink pepper, blackcurrant, Turkish rose, cardamom, patchouli, cedarwood, vanilla, benzoin, ambergris, musk, sandalwood. This is the extrait
Nishane Ani opens with a bright, bracingly fresh and green bergamot- overflowing with juicy citrus and the snap of fresh vegetation, evoking the overgrowth that has retaken the crumbled walls. A blazing wash of gingery spice suggests the life that still remains, while a gorgeous, fruity rose peeks from between ancient stone. We feel the power of history, now, as rich, creamy, resinous vanilla and rich, earthy wood echo with multitude of voices now left to history. Complex, robust, and vibrant, Ani is a fragrance with true heritage to its name.

Fragrantica - This melts into a gorgeous soft but spicy vanilla on my skin. I adore the cardamom note here as well as the ginger. It's heavenly and not a bit masculine on me at all.it's like diving into a creamy vanilla bath scented with spices and sandalwood that keep wafting steamy clouds of fragrance as I bathe.
Fragrantica - It smells like a rich flavorful vanilla ice cream dessert you get in fancy restaurants, where they have mixed in a little bit of ginger zest and fruits. When I smell it near, the scent is so dense, it stuck and melted in my nose like ice-cream
Fragrantica - It's lemon cake, green, sherbety and sweet. I adore the vanilla and the spicy notes. I'm a sucker for blackcurrant too not that it's prominent. The opening is gingery lemon and vanilla like a really delicious cocktail. ... This potion is Absolutely divine - I could bathe in it. Definitely perfect for summer, not too heady not too strong - this is sitting like a cloud around me and I cannot stop huffing the aroma.
Fragrantica - I love this scent from the herbal ginger opening all the way to that beautiful drydown. I don't get any of the "lemon cake" vibes others are talking about. Just a hint of bergamot at the start and then what I guess could be described as ginger cake
Fragrantica - "This is such a cosy enchanting vanilla scent. I love the sweet spicy ginger opening and slow lingering dry down that leaves you enveloped in vanilla that is just so so delicious. A truly well blended perfume. "
Fragrantica - "The ginger in this is the star, it keeps playing magic tricks on my skin, pushing and giving off whiffs hours after first applying, beautiful projection on this. The vanilla, benzoin mixed with the toned down pink pepper really stay a long time on skin. The sweetness in this is comforting, reminds me of Grand Soir sometimes, and ever so slightly Cedrat Boise in the dry down, while being different on its own. Ani is classy, elegant, and definitely draws people in with its scent bubble around you."
Fragrantica - "This is an amazing fragrance! Extremely well blended. The vanilla is amazing and there's a spicy side to it that is not overbearing in any way. I know this has been compared to Layton but even though Layton is a great smelling fragrance, this just is divine! "
