The dual nature of pink pepper and sugar settle down through rich cashmere before nestling into a core of addictive vanilla and cozy sandalwood. VANILLA SKIN is a multidimensional take on an intoxicating sensual gourmand."
Phlur Vanilla Skin Reviews
Fragrantica - OMG. This smells like straight up vanilla extract. I've been looking for a fragrance that smells like vanilla extract for a long time. I am actually not the biggest fan of vanilla-forward fragrances, and out of the plethora of vanillas I've smelled throughout my life, THIS IS THE ONE. I am obsessed.
Fragrantica - Vanilla 28 and By the fireplace have a baby, it smells so nice and creamy and smokey. Like vanilla extract with a smokey twist that is reminiscent of melting marshmallows over an open flame! It just smells really warm and gooey. It develops on skin quite well and I say on skin you can give it 3-4 hours and on clothes I say the same amount. It's just a really good body mist! 9/10
Fragrantica - have a lot of perfumes in my collection, 80+ & i love niche fragrances....vanilla skin preforms better than a bunch of them. i'm shocked by the performance of this. i love it so much and it smells incredible, smokey sweet vanilla. Great for layering as well. .. 10/10 scent
Fragrantica - I REALLY like it so far. It has good longevity for a body mist imho. I think it smells a lot like a lighter version of Vanilla Woods by The Seven Virtues. No one else had mentioned that yet, I was surprised bc it's close to my nose....It smells expensive. It's a "grown" smelling vanilla. Not childish. Sweet and smooth but it has an airy non-smothering quality. I get migraines easily so this is great for me. I'd love to see some layering products if anyone from Phlur is reading this. Body lotion and a shower gel please!
Fragrantica - This is a light, sweet, smokey and woody vanilla. Its a bit reminiscent of Vanilla extract. It has some real complexity to it and a bit of sophistication with the Cashmere woods note. I blind bought it and was not disappointed at all. The floral and apple notes give a freshness to balance the deeper amber, sandalwood, and woods notes, while being pretty faint. Over all it smells... more like a expensive and well balanced pefume.
Fragrantica - This is such a dupe for Vanilla Milk by Ellis Brooklyn!! Great for layering but does the exact same trick. Vanilla milk has a bit more of a ping to it but it's a true vanilla extract scent that warms into your skin. Super sexy in my opinion.
Fragrantica - it's very warm and very soft. I do think this is a pretty universal scent, as it's not too cloying for people who may not like sweet fragrances.
Fragrantica - This one gives a soft powdery cloudy vanilla. Not smokey but definitely hazy....Definitely soft and round with powdery vanilla, sweet and soft like icing sugar not crystalized sugar.
I don't get any apple as listed in the notes. I notice patchouli is not mentioned but I can't ignore that I detect something patchouli-esque or patchouli-adjacent in the drydown. Perhaps the sandalwood seems more wet and earthy instead of woody and smooth?
