Don't Ask Me Permission by Simone Andreoli is a Unisex Amber fragrance launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Simone Andreoli. An infusion of impudent beauty and cheeky femininity which flood in the pleasure of the wildest nights of Rio de Janeiro. An invitation to drink a Maracuja Caipirinha for inexorably abandoning to the carioca groove and to the most libertine passions.
Lime, Sugar, Sweet Orange, Peach, Passionfruit, Ylang-Ylang, Heliotrope, White Musk, Sandalwood, Amber (Ambergris) and Cachaca (Liquor)
"Into the groove of Rio I don't want to think, I want to dance my life above the fire of passion. Reckless, fatally free with no purpose, no regrets. Keep drinking because the night is awaiting to take us and leave us lying on sand with nothing else but our breaths. We should not be long in coming because we don't want to. Lust is a no translating language, an impulse to indulge without asking permission to noble feelings." - a note from the brand
REVIEWS
Fragrantica - Tropical, sweet, boozy, undertone of ambergris that lassssttsss! Reminds me of Erba Pura but not quite as sweet and less expensive. Worth a try.
Fragrantica - Starts very tropical and a little boozy. Before looking at the breakdown I smelled coconut, sandalwood, salty/sandy notes, something fruity, maybe pineapple. Something citrusy, maybe lime. Turns out there is no coconut in there, but it feels like it to me. Like coconut water.
Fragrantica - This is very reminiscent of Virgin Island Water. They aren't the same, but if you like one I would be pretty surprised if you didn't like the other. And since another fragrance from this house is essentially a dupe of VIW (Party in the Bay), you will probably like that one too. The main difference I can tell is a noticeably peppery dry down on this one. Likely pink pepper. It's really good. I would prefer it if it were less salty, had a little bit more fresh citrus, and didn't have the peppery dry down. But still, I love it.
Fragrantica - Strong lime upon first spritz. The sweet orange emerged shortly after, along with a pleasantly salty passion fruit. This is certainly unisex although pulls slightly more masculine IMO. I definitely get the "explicit sensual energy" coming from the amber note that Simone Andreoli referred to in his fragrance description...It kinda smells like getting down and dirty beside a tropical cocktail. That amber projects like crazy on me.
Fragrantica - Great scent for those who love Kirke and Erba Pura. Very fruity and loud and with good longevity on skin and clothes. Sillage is remarkable on this one. Careful with spraying too much.
Basenotes - Imagine sitting in a tiny restaurant by the waterside, white table linen, sipping an expensive white vine while watching the beautiful blue sea, with a slightly cooling aromatic mediterranean breeze to make it just perfect.fruity, sugary, and creamy scent, definitely creamy enough to bring any real richness to the overall composition.rich in fruits, like quality wine with dry fruits.this is a girlie, feminine tropical scent for sure.
It has that ultra creamy, powdery, tropical fruit scent of primarily passion fruit sweetness is achieved by fruits citrus adds a sour and fresh aroma to it amber and musk are also there to centain the sweetness the dry down is more creamy due to the sandalwood.it is a youthful fragrance, so if you are worried about your age or aspire to be mature it may not be the best choice for you suitable to walking in the park with dog, beach party, being lazy on terrace, shopping time or even hot summer day date.
