Maison Mataha Printemps Blanc Reviews
Fragrantica - Femine leaning. A very nice creamy, flowery vanilla. Very well blended. The drydown is even nicer than the open. The sandalwood gives it a creamy feel. Its almost gourmand, but not quite. The jasmine vanilla very well blended and even. It has above average projection but doesn't last too long. 2-3 hrs tops. 8/10. If you like vanilla and jasmine --you'll love this.
Fragrantica - WOW! This is a vanilla/marshmallow bomb on me and I am liking it (veering into loving it)! This is for those of us who wanted to like Love Don't Be Shy and/or Oriana but because of certain notes or the blending just didn't. This is a gorgeous vanilla on me with the other notes weaving around beautifully in the background especially the white tea and sandalwood. I do pick up on the orange blossom and jasmine but in a clean laundry way and I will say that this is the missing link of the trifecta of vanillas for me. Now, I have Tihota by Indult, Loukhoum by Keiko Mechari, and Printemps Blanc as my holy trinity of vanillas!
Fragrantica - This is simply beautiful! One of my new spring and summer must haves. Sometimes I have a hard time with tea notes if they become too herbal, but this is perfect and adds a freshness together with the grapefruit. I don't really get too much similarities with other white floral scents with gourmand touches, but for some it might be redundant if you already own a ton of them (LDBS, HSW, Oriana, Princess and so forth). Definitely not redundant for me though!
Fragrantica - This fragrance is probably not for everyone. There's a maturity to it. It's sparkling grapefruit and orange blossom with white tea and jasmine before it melts into the base of vanilla and creamy sandalwood. It's not sweet. It's sophisticated. Crisp. Lingering. Beautiful.
Fragrantica - Best release of theirs imo...This is one of the most beautiful fragrances I've smelled in a long time. I can see why it's backordered! I'm so glad I picked up 2 samples. This smells fluffy somehow, like I imagine this is how an angel would smell. It smells like the most beautiful, stylish woman you've ever smelled. Definately a daytime scent, but that's my preference. This is sweet without being too sweet, not overly floral, bright, fresh, clean and just STUNNING!
Fragrantica - This is everything I ever want in a fragrance!
It's joyful, playful, sweet but also fresh and floral! In the dry down, there's warmth that gives this fragrance depth and it is so gentle and cozy!!
This is an absolute must in your collection if you love florals and sweetness! Printemps Blanc is perfect
Fragrantica - The fragrance opens with a refined accord of orange blossom, lending the composition a soft radiance and a hint of citrusy freshness. Almost immediately it is joined by creamy jasmine sambac- tender, sensual and velvety in texture. A light transparent tea note adds a delicate coolness, evoking a sense of freshness and calm. The base is truly cozy- warm, velvety sandalwood and soft vanilla create a creamy, slightly gourmand veil.
Fragrantica - Printemps Blanc unfolds very gently, elegantly, and with a distinctly feminine refinement. It wraps you in a tender cloud- light, yet long-lasting. While it's versatile, it naturally leans toward romantic and delicate styles. A fragrance that makes you want to float like a butterfly
Fragrantica - Possibly the best orange blossom fragrance I've ever smelled. Everything is so well-balanced. Definitely on the sweet side, but not overly so. After their last two releases, I was dubious but ordered a sample anyway. It was one of those moments where you are immediately thrilled but wait a few hours anyway to order a full bottle (just to make sure). The last time that happened to me was with Blanche Bete. Longevity is excellent, 7 hours later and I'm still getting wafts and none of those scratchy aroma chemicals.
Fragrantica - This is achingly beautiful. All of the notes are blended so meticulously without any competing for attention. The grapefruit and orange blossom are softened by the creamy, never indolic jasmine. There is a sugared vanilla in the base that is never cloying but gives just enough of a gourmand presence to add the perfect hint of sweetness.. I honestly cannot detect any tea and I am not a fan of tea scents anyway. The whole thing is transparent and airy as many niche scents are these days. I know that is what really gives the fragrance its pretty character although I admit I find myself wanting more longevity for the steep price. It almost feels too pretty for me (bridal vibes for sure) but I want a full bottle. This is understated niche artistry at its best.
Fragrantica - Not to be dramatic or anything, but I think I found one of my signature scents. If you told me last year that Maison Mataha (known for disastrous gourmands IMO) would be releasing a fragrance in 2025 that I would regard as one of the most beautiful white florals, I probably would have laughed and blocked you. I would have also guessed that the review below me was paid.
Well I'll have to eat a crow on this one... Printemps Blanc is fantastic on all fronts; the orange blossom is the star of the show, the jasmine adds a creaminess to keep the orange blossom from being too sharp, the grapefruit is bright, succulent, and reminds me more of a fruity-nectar vs. a citrus, the white tea is more of an aromatic spa-style tea scent vs. an herbal one, the vanilla is sweet, smooth, and aromatic, and lastly the sandalwood base adds clean woody finish that prevents Printemps from being too saccharine or gourmand.
I can see some similarities to Hundred Silent Ways with respect to the floral-woody profile, however Printemps Blanc goes in its own direction with the aromatic white tea and grapefruit notes. HSW also feels very "generic" and "designer" in its composition. PB feels like a niche composition, ultimately like luxury in a bottle.
I honestly cannot find any faults in Printemps Blanc. I am also pleased with the performance, you get a beautiful scent bubble that lasts all day. With it being an extrait, you'll go noseblind if you overspray. PB is going to be on heavy rotation for me this spring and summer. I also can't wait to play around with layering combos- this would go crazy with a sweet ambery vanilla.
Fragrantica - This might be one of the prettiest fragrances in my collection of nearly 600. I am always worried that orange blossom frags (my favorite note) with have LDBS dna, but this doesn't at all. It's the creamiest sandalwood ever with a gorgeous orange blossom and a little burst of clean vanilla and subtle citrus. Silage and longevity are insane!
Fragrantica - This is a delight. It smells like white floral candy, I get a lot of orange blossom. I got a sample of One Hundred Silent ways and I can see the simulators of crispy light floral candy. Maison mataha hasn't let me down.
Fragrantica - STUNNING! This to me smells like Mizensirs Solar Blossom dripping with high quality vanilla. I guess i can see a slight similarity to hundred silent ways if i squint my nose but this is superior in every way. The citrus and tea give it a fresh vibe while remaining decadent from the vanilla. As it dries down you get the sandalwood mixing with the sweetness, its very refined.
Fragrantica - Mix a floral and gourmand together and this is what you get. And as a male I sometimes find it a bit hard to find a perfume that has white florals and isn't too feminine, this is the prime example of a good unisex slightly female leaning floral/gourmand perfume.
Fragrantica - This is the most beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, very bright for the spring and summer. I honestly think that you can actually wear this year round. It's a little bit of a floral gourmand but it has this white tea note that really has a freshness to it that you could also consider this to be a freshie. I am obsessed with this fragrance. A lot of people are compared to Hundred Silent Ways Nishane but I think it's a little bit different and I actually like this little bit more. HSW has tuberose, peach and orange blossom which I think kind of pull it more in a generic white floral territory than what this has. The white tea note here adds a lot of refreshing And clean qualities to it that I feel like hundred silent waves doesn't have. I would prefer this over 100 silent ways. The sillage is also amazing!
