Safanad by Parfums de Marly is a Floral fragrance for women launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Fabrice Pellegrin. A warm and velvety fragrance born from the sunlight. A delicate yet complex floral fragrance with a composition that showcases each note and impresses upon the wearer a form of beauty and grace. A fresh opening with bright orange and a lush, three-dimensional pear note, Safanad then delightfully stuns with a gorgeous floral heart led by sweet ylang-ylang and earthy iris. Parfums de Marly Safanad Reviews
Fragrantica - I think this scent is so underrated. It's a beautiful pear, orange blossom, vanilla scent. I think this is just a classic, classy, elegant fragrance. It's giving old money, old Hollywood vibes. Vintage yet modernly seductive. It's soft and subtle yet warm and sensual. The composition may be simple. But this is timeless and very well blended. I love Parfums De Marly. They are one of my favorite niche houses. The quality is amazing and the scents are always unique.
Fragrantica - Safanad is an absolute gem. Probably my favorite from PDM. Elegant, classy, sophisticated and feminine. It's a creamy, sensual and warm white floral fragrance. It's so pretty! I can wear this any time - day or night and any season. Signature scent worthy. I love the bottle too. The clear glass with the bold, bronze-y orange hue of the juice. Absolutely stunning all around.
Fragrantica - I cannot get enough of this one. I have NOT been able to figure out how to overspray this one. I want to bathe in it, it is narotic addictive and an intoxicatingly warm and sensual scent that never fails to take me on a very relaxing adventure-no face masks required. Unfortunately, my husband is smell sensitive otherwise I would spray it all over him before bed. I wish I could snuggle myself when I am wearing this! ...It is heavenly!
Fragrantica - Wow this is so beautiful, I am pleasantly impressed! This is a sweet, warm, and syrupy orange smell. The notes I get the most are orange/orange blossom, vanilla, some ylang-ylang, and somewhere in the drydown I notice the sandalwood & amber. There is also a certain powderiness to it and although it is very sweet, I don't find it to be overwhelming... so far my favorite PDM scents alongside Delina and La Rosee.
Fragrantica - What a beautiful uplifting and creamy orange blossom scent. Definitely my favorite scent from PDM !c What a beautiful uplifting and creamy orange blossom scent. Definitely my favorite scent from PDM !c Safanad is comforting and elegant at the same time.
Fragrantica - This is my favorite of the feminine PDM fragrances so far. To me, I get a tropical vibe, though not a cheap, in-your-face type with tons of sweet coconut or pineapple. It's more of a luxurious, elegant tropical vibe, like very expensive luxury sunscreen. It's a little bit creamy, I'm guessing from the orange blossom and ylang-ylang and vanilla, though I don't really detect any notes in a distinct manner. It's very thoroughly blended, which helps I think to evoke that smooth sunscreen essence
Fragrantica - Warm and gorgeous orange blossom - sweet but not saccharine, warm but not suffocating. Light and bright, but not screechy whatsoever. Clean, but not soapy. Soft, but noticeable. Borderline angelic. She's preeeetty!
Neroli/orange blossom are perhaps my favorite notes, and though I do NOT like sweet or gourmand scents at all (I'm not a BR540 kinda gal), this was the perfect interpretation of a sweeter floral. Skin scent lasts at least 12h on me. Today I'm layering with Diptyque L'eau de Neroli and it smells like absolute joy....ETA: a month later, and my love for this fragrance grows stronger every day. Holy sh*t I am obsessed. Inhaling this gives my brain a high, it's wild. ETA2: Over a year later, I've gone through most of a full-sized bottle. I've added others that I adore to my collection... Sintra, other PdM fragrances. This is still such perfection to me. angelic amber orange blossom vanilla. Was shocked to discover it's supposed to be a cool weather scent because now it reminds me so much of my mediterranean summer vacations. But I'll continue to wear this one year round. I hope you love it as much as I do because it brings me SUCH joy.
Fragrantica - Safanad from Parfums de Marly. Oh my goodness. Never, ever has a fragrance before elicited such an immediate response from me of "holy moly, this is what I imagine so-n-so smells like!" Safanad is a rich, velvety amber, projecting an opulence amplified by orange blossom's bewitching florals and jasmine's heady musk, which always seems to me both elegantly amorous but also offers an animalic eroticism. This is a fragrance that seems at first vexingly overbearing and almost outrageously assertive but the better you get to know it the more you appreciate its sumptuous exuberance and enthusiasm.
Fragrantica - SunTan Lotion! Yum! My hands down favorite PDM, almost finished one bottle. I have both Delina's, Sedberry, Darcy, and Meliora, but I cannot get enough of Safenad....To me it smells like vacation. A sweet, cozy, warm, skin fragrance that smells like a VERY, VERY, expensive Suntan lotion.
Fragrantica - It's a gorgeous opulent orange blossom with amber and is a bit syrupy. I find it a little tropical too. Each day I wore this I noticed I perceived it differently. Some days the vanilla was very forward and other days I got more of the orange blossom + a tropical floral. It's feminine, a bit playful but mature at the same time. It's appropriate for all seasons, but in warmer weather I find it's suited for the evening because it can be too much during the day. Longevity is average at best, the sillage moderate but gorgeous. So far this is my favorite orange blossom fragrance I've tried.
Fragrantica - My second favorite from Parfume de Marly. For me it's sweet powdery orange scent which won't give me headache. I feel like being wrapped in a soft blanket with the smell on. Good scent to put on in the Spring and Summer:)
Fragrantica - Uh-oh! I am in big BIG trouble. I recently acquired a bottle of Safanad by Parfums de Marly. Every time I wear this I get such strong desire to get a backup bottle.
This smells so damn good! Opens up with a blast of fresh yet cozy orange blossom. It gets amber-y as it dries down. The amber note softens down about an hour and a half after the initial dry down. Leaving me with a warm and slightly sweet, creamy vanilla which reminds me somewhat of Alien Essence Absolue but softer and smoother, creamier and without the booziness. Although by the 6th hour, the vanilla in here brings Orchidee Vanille to mind. Projection and sillage are both excellent. Lasts around 12 hrs on my skin but sits close to skin by the 8th hour. This is my new favorite!!!
Nordstroms - This is a bottle of pure vanilla at it's BEST! Vanilla is one of my favorite notes in perfume and Parfums De Marly captured it from the beginning to the end with this One! If you don't like vanilla then this is not for you. This smells soooo darn good! Can't wait to get my hands on this baby.
Nordstroms - I would describe this as a very sensual sent. It is not very sweet, it is not what I would call a gourmand, but still very pretty and sensual. You only need a spray or two and the fragrance will last all day long and sometimes into the next morning. The sillage is also wonderful. This is one of the most unique scents I have ever smelled.
