Penhaligon's Halfeti Cedar EDP

Halfeti Cedar by Penhaligon's is a unisex Woody Spicy fragrance launched in 2020. The nose behind this fragrance is Christian Provenzano.

Notes of Rum, Peach, Saffron, Cardamom; Virginia Cedar, Dried Fruits, Cinnamon, Mineral notes, Immortelle;  Atlas Cedar, Vanilla, Patchouli, Tonka, and Labdanum.

Penhaligon`s London presents a new fragrance of their rich collection which is inspired by precious goods traded by Turkey-exotic flowers, spices, soft leather and precious materials. The fragrance was named after a small Turkish village, Halfeti, where charming Halfeti black roses bloom on the coasts of the Euphrates river. "These dark and mysterious roses are very rare and are result of unique ecological conditions in which they are grown."

Fragrantica - 
this one is an immediate love. Cedar, boozy, and fruity - what's not to love? On top of that, the "quality" of the scent is definitely top-notch - it smells expensive and elegant.

Projection and longevity both seem fine - which says a lot considering my skin tends to be dry. This one will get used a lot over the next few months. Fantastic!

Fragrantica - If you like Halfeti but you don't like roses this is for you! It's fruity, boozy, woody with the usual dna of Halfeti but sweeter and no rose. Amazing scent with good longevity and projection!

Fragrantica - I think in the last 20 years this could be penhaligons best fragrance release,...take the original formulation halfeti with its woody spicey feel and add a blast of rum and dried fruits , it's like a Christmas version of halfeti with a warming almost rich gourmand overtone , you could almost say it's like Christmas pudding with rum over the top that's been lit along with the original halfeti DNA, performance is fantastic, projects so well for many hours and stays on skin for about 9/10 hours , overall every box is ticked and Penhaligons should feel very proud of themselves for getting so much right here, and for once I'm going to say it's worth the price.

Fragrantica - Gorgeous fall cedar scent, unlike nothing I've ever smelled. This fragrance involves a lot of aromatic accords - it's spicy, woody, resinous, fruity, nutty, and boozy at the same time, which makes it beautiful and complex. I love smelling it on my clothes the next day. It is my favorite out of the "trade routes" 

Fragrantica - Absolute love! Unisex but heavily leaning masculine in my opinion. An incredible fragrance, with rum and peach notes, dried fruits, woody notes, and spices that are all perfectly balanced, elegant, classy, and charming.

Halfeti Cedar begins with a nice rum steeped in wood. You can smell the spicy/sweet notes but the cedar woodS are always prominent, cedar that is sweetened with fruit, vanilla, and labdanum and spiced with saffron and cinnamon. Cedar is definitely the king in this perfume.

Fragrantica - So much booze in this one..I just love it. I know it's obviously more on the male side but I can't help it. I've the original Halfeti and I can sense some of its notes in this one but HC is on a league of its own.

Fragrantica - This is good stuff, it smells amazing from the initial spray. This perfume is seriously build around Atlas Cedar, I think its the main note I smell in the dry down.

Does it smell exactly like side effect? No, but I believe both of them share few notes like rum and cinnamon, this combination was started by Initio but now everyone want to take a bite from that addictive smell. Halfeti Cedar is different enough I mean it has fruity aspect in the mid and in the drydown it has a heavy atlas cedar note and labdanum note. With that being said, I think they are different enough to own both of them. I still think side effect is better when it come to the scent but also I believe halfeti is really high quality stuff!

Fragrantica - I smelled this on a lady at my work today and it was divine.. I said to her "omg you smell amazing what is that?!" She said you ever hear of penhaligons said sure have! She said well it's called Halfeti.. I'm glad she said it had rum in it b/c there's 3 different halfetis so I'm sure it was this one..anyways smelling it on her was enough to make me want a bottle..WOW!
