Zoologist Rabbit was released in 2024, created by Fanny Bal. Leaning a little earthy carrot cake gourmand, it has notes of green leaves, cinnamon, apple, bergamot, carrot, violet, clover, jasmine, biscuit, hay, vanilla, white almond, musk and patchouli. Zoologist Rabbit is an extrait de parfum An excerpt From Zoologist"Tonight, the air is green with clover, hay,and little clumps of grasses on the breeze, unsettled dirt, the dusty mysteriesof rabbits tunnelling the dark. They strayinto the meadow, sniff the wind-bouquetof violets. They hop in twos and threes, their shadows cotton-tailed. Or else they freezewhen something feathered screeches far away. They stand like tufted stones. But now the nightgoes soft and jasmine-sweet again. A scentof petals presses to their fur. There's fruitto eat. There is the skittering delightof digging into earth, the sedimentof dreams perfumed with carrot-top and root.- Jehanne Dubrowt." Reviews of Zoologist RabbitFragrantica - "This is quite something! Earth yet sweet, not too sweet. Soft and delicate. On the dry down it really reminds me of Marissa Zappa's "Maggie the Cat is Alive I'm Alive!" but I like this one better because of that carrot note and it's not as sharp. "Fragrantica - "On me, Rabbit starts with a similar vibe than Accident a La Vanille, wonderful buttery vanilla cake. After a few mins, it turns into a lemon curd/cheescake where the chees is pretty dry and loud. This cheesy vibe remains, but it becomes creamier and buttery, the cheese here is more like mascarpone. After about half an hour, the herbal notes creep in, the palette will be expanded with wet chaff and aromatic vegetables. The scent itself is green and aromatic but keeps it's sweet character. Apart from the initial few minutes, the base of the fragrance carries the cookie-cheesiness, herbal notes and chaff but the almond also joins it with dry hay. I almost forgot to mention, it's a very sweet fragrance."Fragrantica - "The opening for me is a fruity, powdery, floral with hints of spice and that sweet biscuitiness! Ive never smelled anything like it before! As it dries down, the hay note is just noticeable, but the sweetness keeps on coming. I don't get any green from this fragrance whatsoever, it's all sweet and fruity for me! I also don't get carrot cake! I get apple pie made with a crumbly crust and warm spices. This really is a bunny in her warren, fuzzy and warm, baking away using apples, cinnamon and a buttery biscuit pastry to create a truly unique, beautiful spring fragrance that I simply can't put down!"Fragrantica - "This, initially, is a blast of hay and biscuits. I get pretty much 0 greenness, apart from the apple, which is there throughout the whole experience on my skin, along with the hay. It sweetens up pretty fast and smells like a sugary biscuit until later on when a soft musk comes out. If you've ever smelled a cat's little fluffy head, this is what this smells like, but with added sweetness. And hay. And more biscuits. It's just mouthwatering and it makes me feel bad for speaking ill of Zoologist in the past. I'm saving up for a full bottle."Fragrantica - " god, it's gorgeous! To me, the drydown smells like a delicious crisscross cookie. Its incredibly powdery in the best way possible, like crumbs stuck all over your mouth. I feel like im at a tea party in a dollhouse! This is for sure going to be my signature until theres not a single drop left."Fragrantica - "This is a warm, sweet fragrance that suggests carrot cake without being too literal. The hay and soft florals make it a beautiful perfume instead of an actual dessert. I think it conveys the concept perfectly: it's quiet, sweet and adorable."Fragrantica - "This fragrance is a masterpiece: it is not supposed to be a gourmand; it is supposed to represent a bunny in olfactory form while still being wearable. It is an art and a masterpiece. If you want something safe, then go for a typical designer fragrance. "Wow, it smells like biscuits with caramelised milk!" I thought at the first spray. Gradually, green notes, hay notes, and a bit of animal musk emerge. It's like you're really smelling a rabbit's delicate fur. I had a rabbit and immediately recognized that warm smell. It's a very sweet, fluffy aroma. Those who haven't smelled pet rabbit fur might not notice this animal note in the fragrance."Fragrantica - "Edible amber. There are some interesting spicy, fruity, dessert-like nuances to what is essentially a warm fuzzy amber. This is a bunny free of predators in an idealic scene munching on a garden of delights. Unfortunately ends up in white musk territory (which is the current trend). I love the creativity of this brand and to experience the perfumers' interpretations of animals. They are not always easy to wear, but this one is. My favorite remains Bee, but Chipmunk and Rabbit are as easy and cuddly as the animals they represent and will have better mass appeal."Fragrantica - "A wonderful and joyful gourmand to wear in the hot weather or for those like myself who aren't typically fans of ultra sickly, sugary sweet gourmands. A lovely dewy, fresh, and green opening that gives way immediately to this musky, sweet, and thick carrot cake kept fresh and wearable during the high heat by the fresh backbone of bitter almond, powdery hay, green notes, ozonic touches, and a variety of androgynous floral notes. As it dries down the thick sweetness of the freshly made carrot cake constantly fights for control against the biting and pseudo freshness and powder of the hay and bitter almond."
