AkroAkro Infuse, launched in 2024 and created by Olivier Cresp, is a woody fragrance with notes of bergamot, guaiac wood, mate, oolong tea, apricot, osmanthus, magnolia, freesia, ambroxan and vetiver. Thia is an EDP, eau de parfum.
From the brand - "In Asia, the ancient drink of tea must be prepared with the utmost attention to detail, sometimes with an accompanying ceremony. At its best, tea is both relaxing and invigorating, sensual and stimulating. A tonic to carry you through the day. To celebrate the joys of Asian tea culture, we came up with INFUSE, a fragrance based on the flavours and aromas of the famous Oolong brew. It's a fragrance that is bitter, deep, and herbal-perfect for tea connoisseurs."
Akro Infuse Reviews
Fragrantica - "Really good! Delicately balanced scent which weaves together tea notes with a distinctively fruity touch & florals. Starts with a crisp blast of all the notes and maintains a sense of freshness as it mellows. Very well judged use of ambroxan, enough to elevate the pyramid but never obtrusive. Apricot is a main player as it plays off the florals, resting on a bed of light but earthy tea. Don't expect huge performance but a delicate & pleasing smell as is found in the best quality tea. Bravo to Mr Cresp for an original and expertly blended take on the genre."
Basenotes - From its very inception, this fragrance unfurls with a tea-inspired essence, introducing the zesty freshness of bergamot that imparts a solar and luminous quality to its herbal heart.
Its herbal quality is perfectly illustrated by the smell, like when you dip your nose into a bag of darker dried herbs. It possesses a subtle resinous quality, marrying sweetness with dryness, all anchored upon a woody base that amplifies the tea's distinct personality. Within the scent's layers, there's a subtle smokiness, reminiscent of steamy, aromatic water vapor, alongside the pronounced bitterness of mate, and the darker, sharper, and complex dry Oolong tea nuances. These elements dominate the fragrance, tempering the gentle sweetness of floral undertones with its robust intensity. The scent of dry apricot also subtly lingers in the background. For those who revel in the deep, bitter herbal notes and the dry, robust, yet smooth warmth of wood, this scent comes highly recommended.
