Its islands with their rich history, the secret beaches, the rare beauty, the colors, the smell, the landscapes showered with the background of the endless blue all make up the inspiration for this fragrance. The notes of the perfume from the sea salt and citrus fruits such as lemon, orange and grapefruit, spark the senses creating an exuberant sense of freshness and coolness, as distinctive as the breeze of the Aegean Sea.

THEODOROS KALOTINIS AEGEAN SALT & CITRUS REVIEWS

Fragrantica: Does salt have a smell? have never had the good fortune to go to Greece, but it the sea salt does indeed smell like this, it's a wonder people aren't just lolling around the beach all day, huffing the miraculous salt air. To me this smells much more like a citrus cologne--lemon, grapefruit--but it lasts longer. I didn't know anything about Theodorous Kalatonis until my perfume pal sent me some vials, and now I'm a fan. I can't imagine anyone not liking this aptly named fragrance (with the caveat that I have never smelled Aegean salt). I admit that I was initially cautious, because I thought it might smell somewhat briny--the smell of the sea to me isn't just salt but also something kind of fishy and vegetal--but this is as good a name as any, since most people have a less literal understanding of what ocean water smells like than I do. This smells exactly like what I would want to smell like if I were on a transatlantic voyage by sea, lounging in a chaise longue, possibly reading Homer. That said, the TK fragrance doesn't evoke Homer's wine-dark sea--I imagine it more of a clear cerulean Mallarme blue, with jade-green pockets.

Fragrantica: This is a breath of fresh air in the world of aquatic fragrances. It's a scent that surprises with its light, fresh, and airy qualities, steering clear of the typical marine notes of seaweed or fish. The fragrance opens with a lemony, old-school blend that's both brilliant and evocative, stirring up nostalgic memories despite being a relatively new release. There's an unexpected twist of fresh pistachio peels, adding a unique nutty layer to the citrusy zest. While the scent itself is bottle-worthy, especially when considering the price, it does come with a slight caveat-the performance may not live up to the initial enchantment. Nonetheless, for those seeking a fragrance that captures the essence of the Aegean breeze without the briny deep, this is a worthy contender.

Fragrantica - This is beautiful! I'm comparing my sample next to other citrus fragrances in my collection, and despite its simplicity, it's quite unique. That salt note makes it punchy and addictive. Less masculine leaning than Vibrato, and much smoother than JM Lime Basil Mandarin. Lemony without smelling like cleaner at all. Gorgeous, so fresh, and well-blended. I'm going to try layering it with Bal D'Afrique, or possibly a green tea fragrance, but otherwise, this will be an easy reach for the summer. A great value for the price, I will be definitely be purchasing a full bottle.

Fragrantica - This is so amazing! Crisp air, blue sky, everything pure, citric notes. And actually: for me, this is not really a beach scent but one reminding me crisp air of snowy sunny mountains! Everything pure and perfect -- this is what I feel when sniffing this.

Fragrantica - This summer I started wearing my fragrances primarily on my inner elbows. This one is so salty that after it dried down a bit I would get visualizations of those shimmery bits of ground shells that stick to your skin after you've been in sand in the creases there. For me this is unique in my collection and I'm so happy to have it.

Fragrantica - Indeed this is a unisex offering from Theodoros Kalotinis. To my nose it's super realistic and indeed it smells like a Greek island beach. It's a little bit sweeter than I expected but it's beautiful.Neither the salt accord or the citrus accord are super loud but the blend is very nicely done. I think it's great summer vacation fragrance with great value.

Fragrantica - I must say Aegean Salt & Citrus from Theodoros Kalotinis is absolutely stunning! This fragrance transports you to the Aegean Sea and surrounding beautiful mediterranean beaches. This is now my new signature summer scent!

Fragrantica: This opens masculine but it's unisex when it dries down. Perfect aquatic citrus, more aquatic than Summer of 84. I get the salt and it gives it the most realistic sea breeze aspect I've found without being bitter or harsh. Just a smooth sea breeze with citrus in the background.

Fragrantica: This fragrance is a fresh green citrus with a prominent salt-y twist. Like your skin have just dried after taking a bath in the salty ocean. Refreshing, the citrus is so fresh and juicy that you could almost imagine the fruit laying in front of you. 'Fresh and cool' as the brand says itself. But that is about it. Nothing groundbreaking with neither longevity nor sillage. Salt & Citrus, that is obviously what this smells like, but it's a light and easy one at that. The perfume is bright, easy and crowdpleasing, but perosnally I feel like it is a bit boring and falls through the cracks. Still, my friend meant that it was perfect just because of that; It is not too male nor female leaning, not too strong nor too light, but in the middle of every aspect, thus perfect. It reminds me a bit of 'Under the Lemon Tree' but this lasts a bit shorter. Maybe I've just tried it in the wrong climate, tho my usual climate is way drier and colder than what of the Aegean sea. Still, this evokes a feeling of a hot and sunny day at a Mediterranian island, and THAT I can love.

Fragrantica - Beautiful salty sea breeze with some light citrus on top.

Fragrantica - Breeze of nostalgic feeling - fresh air and a tad of aquaticness. Light, fresh and reminds me of fresh linen.
