Echoing the beautiful olfactory bouquets that Diptyque is famous for, the Eau Rose EdP is a deeper, greener, spicier take on the original Eau Rose. Submerge yourself in a garden in full bloom, with fresh, vegetal stems breaking through soil, leading up to dew covered petals. the new eau de parfum Eau Rose brings together the most unexpected accords naturally present in the rose: chamomile, artichoke and litchi. In the perfume, firad rose is used - the rose is upcycled through the use of discarded Damascena rose water during the distillation process. Added artichoke is used as a rose oil enhancer (it has a unique fleshy green warm earthy odor with a slightly bitter opening).

Top Note: Litchi.

Middle Notes: Damask Rose, Centifolia Rose, Grasse Rose, Rose Water, Chamomile, and Artichoke.

Base Notes: Musk and Woody Notes.

DIPTYQUE EAU ROSE EDP REVIEWS

Fragrantica - "Such a clean Rose scent, it's very relaxing. Almost like lush dewy green Rose after a heavy rain, it's earthy without being too green. I like that it's not "perfumey", it's very natural. It's kinda herbal and balmy, good for aromatherapy. This can be worn all year round. It's very fresh and airy just the way I like my Rose perfumes to be. I love aquatic Rose perfumes and this one is very well made. It's inoffensive and classy, not a generic forgettable Rose scent. I find this better than the Issey Miyake Rose & Rose. Every perfume house is making their own version of Delina. I'm glad Diptyque kept it unique. This one is truly a timeless Rose scent."

Fragrantica - "Eau Rose EDP reminds me of a beautiful castle surrounded by thorny rose bushes and a dark forest. It's what I imagine a classy vampire to smell like. Also, I feel like Sleeping Beauty would wear this. It smells mysterious, smooth, dark, elegant, clean and timeless. I don't typically enjoy the smell of roses, but this is such a natural and dewy smell that I couldn't help but fell in love! It's not red rose on my skin, but more of a purple/white one, and also dark green leaves, thorns and water surrounding it. It's very poetic!"

Fragrantica - "Compared to the EDT, this is much more green, vegetal and interesting. It's mostly how fresh, florist shop roses smell, and you can nearly smell the dewy rose stems. Overall, there's something more mysterious in this one, probably the chamomile or artichoke. It's way less soapy than the EDT, but you still get some of that soap essence. The dry down is also the tiniest bit sweet. This is something your well off aunt would wear in the summer time, in her white linen outfit, gracefully walking around her coast side mansion."

Fragrantica - "This is an incredible rose scent, wow. Rose and litchi is a wonderful combo. In fact, I thought of Chloe by Chloe when I smelled this, another scent that I love. Eau Rose has a bit more depth to it, and the artichoke and chamomile make it a bit more herbaceous and green smelling. Going on my wishlist for sure :)"

Fragrantica - "I haven't a clue as to what artichoke smells like, but this is a pleasingly herbal, freshly snapped stems, green, TART rose. The litchi gives the roses a bracingly sharp tartiness that can be a bit lemony-sour at times, but remains rosey and fresh all throughout. No limp or wilting petals here."

Fragrantica - "If you like Eau Rose, I think you will enjoy the EDP too. It is definitely a more green scent than the toilette, and less sweet. The dry downs for me is where the EDT and EDP are similar. If EDT is a pretty, fairy garden rose, the EDP is a lush herbaceous rose. A tad spicy in the opening. I think I'll pick this up as I have nothing like it in my collection, and it smells so natural and fresh."

Fragrantica - "A gorgeous (summer) scent! Since I own their Eau Rose EDT, I just expected a longer-lasting Eau Rose. BUT... once I tried, I noticed they came out really differently. Chamomile and Artichoke blended amazingly fresh, which gives a greener scent than EDT. This freshness makes the rose notes not too heavy and less musky, unlike Eau Rose EDT."

Fragrantica - "Eau Rose EDP is a dense and aromatic rose, capturing both a rose in bloom as well as its surrounding vegetation. Whereas L'Ombre dans L'Eau focuses on the greenery with floral notes dancing around its edges, Eau Rose reverses this and places the flower itself centre stage (although I will note the "green" notes are very different in the two fragrances and are more blended in Eau Rose). In comparison with Eau Rose EDT, the EDP is more herbal and richer, while less fruity and effervescent. Both the EDT and EDP have sweetness, the former more so, however the EDP's sweetness seems to originate solely from the flower. This is in contrast with the more evident additional fruity (lychee) sweetness in the EDT. I find Eau Rose EDP to be unique, elegant and, as usual with Diptyque fragrances, very natural smelling. I think it's certainly unisex and approachable by all floral lovers; it's not a powdery "grandmother's rose". Its longevity is undeniably greater than the EDT, perhaps 6-8 hours on me and even longer on clothing...."

Fragrantica - "I love the original Eau Rose so I jumped on this as soon as it was released....The original Eau Rose EDT starts with sweet lychee and rose. It's fresh, dewy, light - a rose after a spring shower, the scent of a rose caught on a breeze, a rose in a garden. It's a little fruity, a little musky, it's somehow clean without ever verging into soapy. It's a delicate, sweet, breezy tea rose. The EDP is, to be honest, more of a flanker scent than it is a "concentration" of the original EDT. It has the same fingerprint, the same Diptyque elegance, but they're recognizably different fragrances...."

Fragrantica - "It opens up a little denser than the EDT, and with only the lightest touch of the sparkling lychee that so dominates the top notes of the original. It's significantly less sweet and less breezy - a step towards unisex. The rose is still a beautiful, naturalistic rose - but it's a rose near the end of its bloom, a rose that's starting to droop a little. It's denser, thicker, more of the "plant" evident behind it. We're nowhere near L'ombre Dans L'Eau territory - but it's definitely more green than the original, and it has more depth. It's also a calm, somewhat creamy, musky, green.. If the EDT is "bubbly and fresh", then this is "composed and reserved". It's not a jammy lipstick rose. It's not a spicy, powdered rose. It's a naturalistic, dense, quiet, artichoke-creamy rose with chamomile running in the background. Very smooth. Very well blended."
