Jasmine - A Comprehensive Guide to this Indolic (okay, Sorta Skanky) and Gorgeous Flower - 17 samples

Jasmine - A Comprehensive Guide to this Indolic Flower - samples
Jasmine is a flower with great indolic qualities.  Indoles give the flower its rich, narcotic fragrance.  Insects can't see white flowers, so white flowers, like the jasmine and gardenia, put of a lot more indoles than other flowers so the little flying pollen messengers can find them.  Indoles are usually referred to as fecal or animalic. That's our perception only, though jasmines and horse sweat have a lot in common molecularly.  In the perfumista world, that thought now encompasses the word "skank."  So when a perfume is referred to as skanky, it usually means it is highly indolic or full of cumin or civet or some other substance that translates to the nose as dirty or showing olfactorily our undies.  How much the indoles are diluted dictates how "skanky" perfumes are. Also, different types of jasmine are more or less indolic. This sampler pack will feature a lot of jasmine perfumes of varying indolic qualities and in combinations with other notes, which gives completely different effects.

Your sampler pack will include 1/4ml sample (1/4 filled sample vial) of each of the following Jasmine Scents

  1. Aerin Lauder Ikat Jasmine - Light, soft, clean jasmine - nothing indolic about this scent - jasmine all cleaned up
  2. Badgley Mishka EDP - a lot of white flowers in combination with jasmine
