This is the eau de parfum verson of L'Heure Bleue. Launched in 1912, it has notes of anise, rose, jasmine, heliotrope, vanilla, tonka and amber. Jacques Guerlain created this perfume to evoke the Blue Hour, the time when the sun is out of the sky, but the stars are not yet there.

An unsettling, though gorgeous, fragrance. I cannot figure out which note in the scent makes me uneasy, but the overall effect is still fairly stunning.

My absolute favorite scent ever. How wonderful is this confection? My husband surprised me with a bottle of the the pure perfume after smelling this sample on me.Have you smelled Mitsouko? L'heure Bleue is this without the lingering spicy unwashed dry down. Both scents have their place but I choose L'heure Bleue for it's purity and melancholy magic.
