Chanel Gardenia was originally created in 1925 by Ernest Beaux and sold only as parfum, however it was added to the Chanel Exclusif line in 2007 as an eau de toilette ~ With  top notes of absolutes of jasmine, gardenia, orange blossom, and tuberose, heart notes of clove, sage, pimiento, and base notes of musk, patchouli, sandalwood, and vetiver.  There is actually no gardenia in this scent but is a floral composed to be reminiscent of gardenia. The most prominent note is orange blossom.
