Described by Chanel as a very improper perfume for nicely brought-up young ladies. Originally created in 1924, it is a leather scent with fruit and floral notes. With top notes of orange blossom, bergamot, mandarin, and clary sage; middle notes of iris, jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, cedarwood, and vetiver; and base notes of styrax, leather, amber, and vanilla. Cuir de Russie is an eau de toilette, edt, and was created by Ernest Beaux.
