Bois Noir was created by Perfumer Jacques Polge in 1987. It flopped and was immediately discontinued that same year. In 990 Bois Noir was reissued with a new name & new bottle design ~ Egoiste. While Egtoiste is an amazingly fantastic Chanel frgarnace Bois Noir is far and away, a superior mix of the same notes. Bois Noir is heavier on the sandalwood & vanilla & a bit dustier, softer & smoother. with less citrus than its forerunner
