What perfume website named after Marie-Antoinette and Lous XVI would be complete without the fragrance of Marie Antoinette?  Perfumer Francis Kurkdijan developed this fragrance using only the genuine historic components found during the research of Elizabeth Feydeau for her book, A Scented Palace: The Secret History of Marie-Antoinette's Perfumer.   She found how perfumes of that era were composed, uncovered the tastes of Marie-Antoinette, and found a constant in the smells favored by the Queen - an uncommon wake.  Aptly named M.A. Sillage de la Reine, Francis Kurkdijan created a "ghost of a perfume" using only 100% natural products.  With notes of rose, iris, cut jasmine, tuberose and orange blossom; middle notes of cedar wood and sandalwood; and base notes of tonkin musk and precious grey amber.

For perfume afficianados and collectors, this fragrance was limited to 1,000 bottles and is sold only at the Palace of Versailles in France.
